Carina was caring, giving, intelligent, kind, funny and beautiful inside and out. She was and continues to be an inspiration to those who had the opportunity to meet her as well as those who have heard her story of strength, valor and will amid her fight with Cancer. Cancer may have impacted her physical body, but it never impacted her will, strength, passion, faith and joy for life. She touched so many live’s as a teacher, nurse, sister, daughter, and friend. While working several jobs and studying for new degrees she still found time to pursue her passion for helping others via mission trips. Carina actively loved on people and was loved by so many.
She would always say “this life has dealt me a hard hand…nevertheless, the attitude and how I choose to play this hand is up to me”
Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to Carina sooner than we thought after sudden cancer induced complications. On December 2nd, at the age of 35, Carina went to be with the Lord. Carina was the spark plug of her family, with a bubbly personality and smile she always looked for opportunities to celebrate and be grateful for family. She was the youngest of three, yet her welcoming heart made her part of a much larger extended family that spanned several states and countries. Her entire community is grieving her loss.
